Accessibility at Yonge Forest Dental
Our office, our website and how to ask for anything that makes your visit easier.

Yonge Forest Dental is a wheelchair-accessible office on one level. We are committed to serving every patient with dignity and independence, in line with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA).
If something would make your visit easier, tell us when you book. Our team is glad to plan ahead with you.
Is the office wheelchair accessible?
Yes. Yonge Forest Dental is on the ground floor of 681 Yonge St in Barrie, and the office is on one level. If you have mobility or access needs, tell us when you book and we will plan your visit with you.
One level throughout
The office is on one level.
Free parking behind the building
Free parking is in the condo lot directly behind the building. Our team signs your vehicle in for you.
Tell us what helps
If you need more time to settle in, transfer or communicate, mention it when you book so we can plan your visit.
Support persons and service animals
You are welcome to bring a support person to your appointment, and they can stay with you during your visit. Service animals are welcome in the office. If you use assistive devices, you can use them throughout your visit. Let us know about any support you need when you book, so we can plan for it.
If a service we usually offer is temporarily unavailable, such as an entrance under repair, we will post a notice at the office and, where we can, on this website. The notice will explain why, how long we expect the disruption to last, and what alternatives are available.
Our website
We aim to make this website meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, Level AA. Pages include a skip link to the main content, headings that describe each section, and labelled form fields. We keep testing and fixing pages as we update the site.
Some content comes from other companies, such as the embedded Google map and our online review display. We cannot fully control how accessible those pieces are. If any part of the site is hard to use, contact us and we will give you the information another way.
Accessible formats and communication
You can ask for any of our information in an accessible format, at no extra cost. That includes our policies, forms and treatment information. We can provide it in large print, as an electronic document that works with a screen reader, or by talking it through with you. We work with you to find a format that suits your needs.
You can reach us by phone at 249-888-2001, by email at info@yongeforestdental.com, or in person at the front desk. If one of those methods does not work for you, tell us what does.
How to give feedback or report a barrier
We welcome feedback about how we provide care to people with disabilities. You can call us at 249-888-2001, email info@yongeforestdental.com, mail or drop off a note at 681 Yonge St, Barrie, ON L9J 0K1, or speak to any team member in person. Tell us what happened and how we can reach you.
We review every piece of feedback and respond in the format you prefer. If your feedback is about a barrier, we will tell you what we are doing about it. You can also read our privacy policy to see how we handle the information you send us.
