Most patients start with a checkup and cleaning, even if they have a specific concern. At that visit your dentist examines your teeth, gums and bite, takes any X-rays needed, and explains what they find. From there, you decide on next steps with a clear estimate in hand. Dr. Joo and Dr. Chau are general dentists. Neither holds a specialist certificate. General dentists in Ontario can provide a wide range of care, including the services on this page. When a case needs a registered specialist, such as a complex root canal for an endodontist, your dentist explains why and arranges the referral.
Paying for your care
